I took a very early stroll down the Boulder Bobolink Trail this morning. It had to be early to beat all the runners on the path. But I think that starting at 5:45, I may have beaten some species, especially warblers to their wake-up call. The most unusual species were heard only—Northern Waterthrush and Western Tanager, but there were also a pair of Bullocks Orioles doing some initial planning and design on a home site.
