Apologies for the late post. On Sunday, August 19, seven birders on a Denver Field Ornithologists field trip found a small flock of more than 20 meadowlarks, at least three of which were Eastern Meadowlarks. The birds were east of CR 67 and feeding on and beside the road. Three of the birds clearly had four white rectories on each side of the tail. Most of the birds appeared similar in plumage with relatively pale faces suggesting juvenile birds.
Other birds seen along that section of the ranch included Lazuli Bunting and Dickcissel.
