The Yellow-throated Warbler that showed up near a feeder at building 620 a couple of weeks ago showed up on our balcony this morning (building 640).  Birders who were looking for this bird unexpectedly found a Prairie Warbler in the bushes and pine trees across from building 620.  Photos were obtained of the Prairie (hopefully posted soon).

Hey All,

Decided to stop by the Belmar apartments today, and within about 30 seconds had the Prairie Warbler, plus an Audubon's Warbler and Say's Phoebe. Photos of all three. No YTWA yet, but will update if I find it or anything else notable. I recommend parking on the street just north of the pond and walking in.

Best,

Just got the Yellow-throated. All three warblers are currently in the same tree at the SW corner of the pond, in a mixed flock with 2-3 BCCH, a couple HOFI etc. The flock has been mostly on the west half of the lake, and is pretty easy to locate.

Best,

Alec

Yellow throated warbler still present at 10:15am, with an Audubon’s yellow rumped in a pine tree on the north side of the lake

Both rare warblers seen moving around pines in the previously specified apartment location. Didn’t take long to find both in the same area. Last seen as of 4:25 pm or so.

Lucky you!

A bunch of us were there around 2:30, and only saw the Yellow-throated (along with a Yellow-rumped, a Chickadee, a House Finch and a Flicker). The PRWA may have shown up after I left at 2:45.

i’ll be back in the morning!
