Red Breasted Merganser, Larimer County

This afternoon there was a lone male Red Breasted Merganser among about 50 common mergansers on the eastern pond, just south and east of the Fort Collins bike trail parking lot on Taft Hill Road. The eastern pond is the second pond south of the bike trail, between the bike trail and Lincoln Junior High School.
