Sandhill Cranes - Arapahoe (late)

Hello COBIRDERS,
Sunday, December 1st, about 12:30 pm, I was in my driveway taking a Christmas Tree off the top of my car when I heard a flock of Sandhill Cranes flying over.  There was a loose V of about 40 Sandhill Cranes flying south at an altitude of approx. 1000 feet.  I haven’t checked, but I don’t remember reports of Sandhill Cranes migrating over Denver as late as December 1st?
I live just west of the Denver Tech Center near Orchard and Quebec in Arapahoe County.

Chris and others,

Several people from our Fort Collins office (and a couple people working from home in Fort Collins) saw a group of  Sandhill Cranes fly over heading south on Monday December 2 at about 11:30AM.  We all thought that was a late time of year for them as well!  Another employee mentioned seeing a group of 30 of them fly over his house in Loveland, but this time they were moving north.  Quite strange to have them moving at this late date!
