I was at the Arsonal Saturday with my Mom, Ruth Reeser and my wife, Laura and had a nice morning enjoying the birds.  We saw many eagles, some quite close (100 feet or so), Ferruginous Hawks, Rough Legged Hawks, Red tailed hawks, coopers hawk, common goldeneyes, hooded mergansers, common mergansers, pintails, shovelers, just to name a few; and not including many expected more common birds, not to mention the deer, bison, and coyotes. Although we did not see anything real unexpected, we certainly enjoyed the morning.

My husband and I were there on Saturday, too! It was only our 2nd visit and were quite excited to see a few Bald Eagles in one of the lakes and at least 25 roosting in a huge tree far enough away that it took binoculars to identify them. We were so grateful that someone pointed us to the location, or we most likely would have missed it.
