Chico Basin Ranch was very birding today, with the best bird being a Blue-winged Warbler at the banding station (El Paso Co.). I first saw the bird while watching a male Orchard Oriole; I have a few shots with the warbler and oriole in the same shot. The bird was working the shorter trees (elms?) in the grove, and I understand several others including the Cornell big day team were able to refind the bird later in the day.

Photos of the BWWA:

Other highlights included:
Summer Tanager - banding station
Veery - HQ (Pueblo Co.)
Tennessee Warbler - banding station
American Redstart - banding station
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - both HQ and banding station
Northern Waterthrush - HQ
Hammond's Flycatcher - banding station
Ash-throated Flycatcher - both HQ and banding station

Good birding,
