Hi all,

I hit Fountain Creek (El Paso Co.) this afternoon and managed to come away with some nice birds, the highlight being a gorgeous Yellow-throated Vireo. The bird was working the trees south of the Willow Springs ponds.
A perched Broad-winged Hawk was another nice surprise, and a Great-tailed Grackle in the cattails by the nature center was a long overdue county lifer.

Good birding,

Sam,

Spent about 2 hours at Fountain Creek this afternoon but no luck with the Vireo.  I did see the Grackle in the exact same spot--that is a big bird!

Thanks for the tip!

Brian
