Equalizer Lake/Houts Reservoir, Larimer Co.; Dec. 11 - NO BRANT

Hello,

As I suspected the Brant was not present when I walked around Equalizer Lake this morning.  I walked part of Houts Reservoir, too.  All water is frozen because of the extreme cold that has been here for the past week.  Hundreds of Canada and Cackling Geese were in the area but I didn't see anything else in the flock.  Has anyone looked for or seen the Brant after Dec. 1 when I last saw it?

I saw a male Merlin of the prairie race was perched in a tree at the sw. corner of Equalizer, which was nice.
