—-On July 4 an adult Little Blue Heron was reported from the NW corner of Barr Lake by JT Cleveland.
—-On July 5 a (m) Baltimore Oriole was reported at Metzger Farm Open Space; first reported by Lauren Burke on June 17. It was paired with a female Bullock’s Oriole. Please view from a distance.
BACA COUNTY
—- On June 25 a YELLOW-GREEN VIREO was observed at Two Buttes SWA by Mark Petersen, and ID’d as such on July 1, after critical review of photos. The bird was not found when next looked for on July 1. If accepted by the Colorado Bird Record Committee, this would be the first state record.
BOULDER COUNTY
--- On June 29 a (m) Northern Cardinal was reported at Twin Lakes near the tennis courts by Leslie S.
CHAFFEE COUNTY:
—-On July 4 a ZONE-TAILED HAWK was reported flying over McPhelemy Park, an eBird hotspot in Buena Vista, by Jerome Cech.
EL PASO COUNTY
--- On June 30 a singing Northern Parula was reported from Fountain Creek—S Circle Drive to Academy Blvd. First reported by Richard Bunn on June 26.
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
—-On July 3 a White-winged Dove was reported in Westminster City Park by John Robinette. Most previous Jeffco records have been on private property.
LARIMER COUNTY:
----On July 5 a Common Gallinule was reported at Wellington SWA -Schware Unit. That has been its haunt since first reported on April 29 by Josh Bruening.
MESA COUNTY:
——On July 1 two Lucy's Warblers were reported at Gateway Cottonwoods by Denise and Mark Vollmer .
MONTROSE COUNTY
--- On July 1 a Grasshopper Sparrow was reported at Nucla-WTP. First reported by Brenda Wright on June 30.
OTERO COUNTY:
—-On July 4 a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was reported SW of La Junta along Homestead Loop entrance road. First reported by Jim Thompson on June 24.
WELD COUNTY:
—-On July 4 a LEAST TERN was reported from the Behrens Reservoir area (Weld CR 41 between CR 46 & 48; private, view from road) by Steve Mlodinow. There only only two previous eBird Weld County records.

—-On July 6 a singing Carolina Wren was reported along CR-J, west of CR-8, close to the Wait Ranch, by Kathy Mihm-Dunning.

—-On July 5 a SMITH’S LONGSPUR in breeding plumage was reported on Oak Creek Grade, a road NE of Silver Cliff by Linda Hodges. This is an extraordinary sighting for Colorado in summer.
