No fooling. Only the second report of this species so far this spring.
Two were seen by Lorraine Lanning at Lowell Ponds on March 31. Early birds
this year, per eBird records.
This individual was on the island ion Grasmere Lake in Wash Park, with a half-dozen
Black-crowned Night Herons, where they nested in past years.
