All,
I relocated a Northern Waterthrush at, where else, Chatfield State Park, yesterday, Monday Aug 30!  This was Green Big Year bird #250! I thought 250 was a reasonable goal with all going on in life with work and kids, but I didn't think I'd hit it with FOUR months and a day left in the year!

The bird was in JeffCo. It was later found by another birder across the delta by the heronry overlook in douglas county. Presumably it was the same bird as the bird I had wasn't relocated by some birders at the JeffCo spot (see eBird list).

Now that I've hit my initial lofty goal of 250 species (aiming higher now), would you consider a pledge or a donation to the Joe Roller Memorial Research Grant? No better time than now to motivate my weary legs, sore knees and back! Click the link (scroll to the bottom at the link). All funds support bird research in Colorado through CFO. We are getting closer to raising $30,000 (!!!) to support the next generation of ornithologists (once I get to 270 species, if I can get there!). https://cobirds.org/CFO/Grants/

Thank you for all the donations and pledges this year! This is simply amazing! It takes a team to do this! What an amazing journey.

Blog posts coming, soon I hope.

Thank you!!
