ADAMS COUNTY:
--At Barr Lake on November 4, Sheeter reported 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (1 ad, 1 1-st cyc), and 1 1-st cyc Thayer's Gull.  On November 9, Dowell reported 1-st cyc Thayer's Gull and 1-st cyc Lesser Black-backed Gull.

ARCHULETA COUNTY:
--2 f Black Scoters were reported by Jim Beatty on Hatcher Lake on CR 600 NW of Pagosa Springs on November 6.  They were first found by Dale Knapp on November 4.  On November 9 Riley Morris reported 2 f Black Scoters at Hatcher Lake.

BACA COUNTY:
--Two Winter Wrens were reported by Leatherman below the dam at Two Buttes on November 3.  They were near where the red rock cliff comes near the north side of road.  NOTE:  The road below the dam is closed to vehicles but open to foot traffic.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--A f MAGNIFICENT HUMMINGBIRD was reported by Adam Jack coming to his feeders in Coal Creek Canyon on October 27 through November 9.  He is asking for NO visits during the colder weather.  
--On October 30, Dowell reported that the Golden-crowned Sparrow has returned to the Teller Farm trailhead on Valmont Road.  Weeds are tall this year making it harder to find the bird.  On November 1, Frye reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farm trailhead.
--On November 1, Frye reported "western" Palm Warbler at Teller Farm.
--On November 1, Baron reported 2 White-winged Juncos at Eldorado Open Space on the Spring Brook Loop North Trail.  This is the same location where the Grace's Warbler was this summer.
--On November 4, Minner-Lee reported 2 Pacific Loons at Baseline Reservoir in Boulder.  On November 7, Gent reported 2 Pacific Loons at Baseline Reservoir.
--A Winter Wren was reported by Floyd at Stearn's Lake downstream from bridge over Rock Creek on November 8.
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Floyd at Boulder Reservoir on November 0.

CHAFFEE COUNTY:
--6 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Kellner at Buena Vista Ice Pond on November 1.

DOUGLAS/JEFFERSON COUNTIES:
--On November 3, Suddjian reported a Red-throated Loon by the shoreline between Deer Creek Inlet and Massey Draw parking area at Chatfield.

EAGLE COUNTY:
--A Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by McConnell at Spring Park Reservoir on November 4.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--A Blue-headed Vireo was reported by Farese at Fountain Creek Regional Park along the path beside Rice's Pond on November 1.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--2 Golden-crowned Sparrows(1 ad, 1 1-st winter) were reported by Cyndy Johnson at Red Rocks Trading Post on November 1.  On November 2, Chavez reported 2 Golden-crowned Sparrows at Red Rocks Trading Post.

KIOWA COUNTY:
--A juv Thayer's Gull was reported by Mldinow at Neesopah Reservoir on November 3.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--A Red-necked Grebe and Lesser Black-backed Gull were reported by Bankert at Horseshoe Lake in the NW corner on November 1.  A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Komar at Horseshoe Lake on November 9.
--At Fossil Creek, Komar repored Red-necked Grebe on November 1.

LOGAN COUNTY:
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Kellner at N Sterling Reservoir on November 8.

LOGAN/SEDGWICK COUNTIES:
--At Jumbo Reservoir on November 8, Kellner reported 3 White-winged Scoters (1 ad m, 1 f, 1 imm m) and 2 Red-necked Grebes (1 ad, 1 imm)

MESA COUNTY:
--2 Surf Scoters were reported by Henwood at Colorado River State Park, Fruita Section on November 5.  They were on the northern most pond.  Two Surf Scoters were reported by Ortenzio at Colorado River State Park, Fruita Section on November 6.

MORGAN COUNTY:
--At Jackson Reservoir on November 8, Kellner reported 4 f Black Scoters and Red-throated Loon.
--At Jackson Reservoir on November 9, Dowell reported ad Great Black-backed Gull, 2 ad Lesser Black-backed Gulls, and a Pacific Loon.
--At Brush SWA on November 9, Dowell reported Red-bellied Woodpecker.

PROWERS COUNTY:
--A PURPLE FINCH was reported by Mlodinow at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar on November 4.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--2 non-ad Lesser Black-backed Gulls were reported by Percival at Pueblo Reservoir on November 4.  On November 9, Percival reported 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (1 2nd-cyc, 1 3rd-cyc) at Pueblo Reservoir.
--At Pueblo City Park on November 8, Percival reported White-eyed Vireo and CAPE MAY WARBLER.

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY:
--A Red-necked Grebe was found by George Steele on October 29 at Miramonte Reservoir and seen again on October 30 by Dexter and Wright.  Steele reported on November 7 that the Red-necked Grebe continues at Miramonte.

WELD COUNTY:
--A Winter Wren was reported by Dowell at Crow Valley near junipers in SW part of birding area on November 8.
--A Black Scoter was reported by Prather at Union Reservoir from the south side on November 8.
--On November 8 at Union Reservoir, Mlodinow reported f Surf Scoter, Red-throated Loon, and ad m White-winged Scoter.

YUMA COUNTY:
--A Red-bellied Woodpecker was reported by Kaempfer at old Foster Grove CG at Bonny on November 8.

The DFO Field Trip for Thursday, November 13 will be to the Longmont Area led by Christie Owens (christiel AT q.com 303-772-6049).  Meet at Jim Hamm Natural Area Parking Lot at 0830.  From I-25 take exit 240.  Go west 4 miles on CO 119 to Boulder/Weld County Line Road, then 2 miles north to park on left at E 17th Ave.  Trip
will end about 1330 since a few of the best areas are still out of commission because of flood damage.  Bring lunch, water, and dress for weather including shoes intended for sloshing through mud.  This is a limited trip so be sure to register online or contact the leader.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 15 will be to Castlewood Canyon SP led by Karen von Saltza (kvonsaltza AT yahoo.com or 303-941-4881).  Meet at CO 86 and corner of Castlewood Canyon Road, appproximately .05 miles west of Franktown.  
Guest leaders Hugh and Urling Kingery.  The group may bird in the park, the local gravel pits, and other local places depending on bird activity.  The walking portion will involve a 2 miles walk, depending on the birds and group.  Bring lunch.  Group will eat lunch while watching the feeders at the Kingery's.  Good trip for novice birders and new members.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 15 will be to Belmar Historic Park led by Alison Kondler (birdingbyear AT msn.com 303-904-9140).  Meet the leader at parking lot near lake.  From Alameda and Wadsworth go south on Wadsworth, turn west at the light on West Ohio Ave, Drive a short two blocks to parking lot.  May visit many lakes in addition to Belmar.  bring binoculars and scope (if you have one), water, and snacks.  Register online or with leader since trip is limited.  

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, November 16 will be to Roxborough SP led by Doris Cruze (cruzeduo At aol.com or 303-798-8072)  Meet the leader at 0800 at the park.  Take S Wadsworth Blvd past Chatfield SP to Waterton Rd on left.  take Waterton Rd 1.6 miles east to North Rampart Range Road.  Turn right and go south 2.3 miles to Roxnborough Park Rd.  Turn left (east onto Roxborough Park Rd and then turn immediately right (South) on Roxborough Rd and follow signs to Park (2.2 miles).  Meet at nature center.  Trip will involve walking on trails.  Lunch is optional but bring water, snacks and dress for walking on foothill types of trails.
