---On October 29 at Curtis Park in Greenwood Village, Jared Del Rosso reported 17 Red Crossbills.

---On October 29 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Littleton, David Suddjian reported Type 2 Red Crossbill.  On November 3 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Littleton, David Suddjian reported 6 type 2 Red Crossbills.

---On October 31 at Ketring Park and Lake, Michael Woodruff reported 140 Cackling Geese.

BENT COUNTY:

---On November 2 at Blue Lake (Adobe Creek Reservoir), Dave Leatherman reported 2 Northern Shrikes, Common Loon, 2 Black-bellied Plovers, American Golden-Plover, and 10 Lapland Longspurs.

---On November 2 on CR 14 near CR KK, a few miles N of Hwy 50, Dave Leatherman reported Lewis’s Woodpecker.

---On October 26 at  Walden Ponds, Chris  Brobin reported Snowy Egret.  On October 27  at Walden Ponds, Ted Floyd reported Snowy Egret.  On October 28 at Walden Ponds, Luke Pheneger et al reported 2 Snowy Egrets.  On October 29 at Walden Ponds, Patrick McIntyre reported 2 Snowy Egrets.  On November 2 at Walden Ponds, Stephen Chang reported 1 Snowy Egrets and Julia Auckland reported 1 Snowy Egret.  On November 3 at Walden Ponds, Willem Van Vliet reported 2 Snowy Egrets.  On November 4 at Walden Ponds, Ted Floyd, Richard Trinker, and Brandon Nooner reported 2 Snowy Egrets.  On November 5 at Walden Ponds, 2 Snowy Egrets were reported by Ron Podhajsky, Aidan Golden, Tiffany and Chris Watts and Norm Lewis.

---On October 27 at Kittredge Ponds on University of Colorado Campus in Boulder, Nick Moore reported Yellow-throated Warbler which was also seen by Laura Steadman, Peter Gent, Nathan Pieplow, and Melissa Metzger.  On October 28, Nathan Pieplow reported 2 Red Crossbill Type 4 and the Yellow-throated Warbler was see in pines between Fiske Planetarium and Speech Language Hearing Services Building.  On October 29 at Kitteredge Ponds, Christain Nunes, Peter Burke, and Ginny Bergstrom reported Yellow-throated Warbler.

---On November 3 at Timnath Reservoir, Bob Righter reported Red-throated Loon in middle of reservoir and Common Loon in S Central part;  Josh Bruening reported dark morph juv PARASITIC JAEGER, Nick Komar reported 50 Cackling Geese; the PARASITIC JAEGER and Red-throated Loon were seen by Austin Hess, David Wade, and Nick Komar.  On November 4 at Timnath Reservoir, Nick Komar and many other birders reported Red-throated Loon and PARASITIC JAEGER and Nick Komar reported 200 Cackling Geese.  On November 5 at Timnath Reservoir, Red-throated Loon and Common Loon were reported by Robert Beauchamp, Luke Pheneger, Maikel and Susan Wise, Danny Montolavo,  Megan Miller, Josh Bruening, and Jack Bushong;  Josh Bruening also reported 30 Cackling Geese.

---On November 4 at Terry Lake in Fort Collins, Fawn Simonds reported Common Loon.

---On November 4 at Kechter Pit Wetland, Christine Sparks reported Osprey.

---On November 5 at Arapahoe Bend NA Rigden Reservoir, Josh Bruening, and Lori Zabel reported PARASITIC JAEGER.

---On November 5 at Loveland Cemetery, Walter Wehtje  and Nick Komara reported 8 Red Crossbill (Douglas-fir type 4), 2 Red Crossbill (Lodgepole Pine type 5), and 11 Red Crossbill (Sitka Spruce, type 10).

LOGAN COUNTY:

MESA COUNTY:

---On October 28 at Colorado River SP Fruita Section, Ronda Woodward reported Sora.

---On October 29 at Grand Junction Wildlife Area, David Price reported Black Phoebe and Sagebrush Sparrow.

---On November 1 at Vega Reservoir, Mike Henwood reported 7 Common Loon.

---On November 2 at Cheney Reservoir, Mike Henwood reported 29 Sandhill Cranes and Northern Mockingbird.

MOFFAT COUNTY:

---On November 1 in a field below Hwy 13 S of Craig, Jan Leonard reported 15 Sandhill Cranes.

---On November 1 in pond across river from Loudy-Simpson Park in Craig, Forrest Luke reported 6 Tundra Swans (3ad, 3 juv).

---On November 2, Forrest Luke reported 2 Tundra Swans at WFMC Ponds, but no swans at Loudy-Simpson.

MONTEZUMA COUNTY:

---On November 3 at McPhee Reservoir west end, Coen Dexter and Brenda Wright reported Osprey.

---On November 3 at Industrial Park Pond N of Cortez, Eric Hendrickson reported 7 Great Egret.

---On November 4 at McPhee Marina, Erick Hendrickson reported 3 Common Loon and Chipping Sparrow.

---On Novebmer 4 at Black Canyon Crystal Dam, Betty Fenton reported 2 Barrow’s Goldeneyes.

---On October 31 at Ridgway Reservoir, Kent Nelson reported 2 f Wood Ducks.

PITKIN COUNTY:

---On October 31 at Ruedi Reservoir, Dick Filby reported m Barrow’s Goldeneye and m Wood Duck.

PROWERS COUNTY:

---On October 30 at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, Dave Leatherman reported 13 Red Crossbills (type 2).  On November 3 at Fairmount Cemetery, Dave Leatherman reported 18 Red Crossbills.

---On October 30 at Lamar Community College, Dave Leatherman reported White-throated Sparrow and 2 Northern Cardinals.  On November 3 at Lamar Community College, Dave Leatherman reorted 2 Carolina Wren at S end, White-throated Sparrow E of library, and 4 Northern Cardinals.

---On October 30 at Woodland Park Subdivision S of Lamar Community College along Willow Creek, Dave Leatherman reported Red-bellied Woodpecker.

---On November 3 on CR SS e of CR 13, Dave Leatherman reported imm Eastern Phoebe.

PUEBLO COUNTY:

---On October 27 at Pueblo Reservoir, Brandon Percival reported Long-tailed Duck, Red-necked Grebe, 5 Common Loon, and Common Tern.

---On October 28 at Pueblo Res SWA NW side, David Tonnessen reported 2 Surf Scoters and Common Loon.

---On October 28 at Lake Beckwith in Colorado City, Dave Silverman reported ad Black-legged Kittiwake between 0800  and 0900 but it disappeared after 0900.

---On October 28 at Pueblo Reservoir below day by footbridge that goes from Snakeskin Picnic area to Swim Beach, N Side of Arkansas River, Brandon Percival and Van Truan reported Blue-headed Vireo.

---On October 30 at Teller Reservoir, Van Truan reported 5 Cackling Geese and Curve-billed Thrasher.

---On October 31 at Pueblo Reservoir, Brandon Percival, John Drummond, and Bill Maynard reported 5 f-type Surf Scoters, 1 f Black Scoter, m EURASIAN WIGEON, 5 Common Loon, and 6 Cackling Geese at South Marina of Pueblo Reservoir.  On November 1 at Pueblo Reservoir, Brandon Percival reported 1 f-type Surf Scoter in SE part of reservoir and 3 Common Loon.

---On October 31 at Osprey Picnic Area in Rock Canyon, Brandon Percival reported Eastern Bluebird.

---On November 5 at Pueblo Reservoir, Brandon Percival and Renee Casias reported Red-throated Loon and Turkey Vulture;  at West Fishing Road, Brandon Percival reported 4 Common Loon.

ROUTT COUNTY:

---On October 29 at Lake Catamount, Tom Litteral, Tresa Moulton, and Lynne Miller reported 2 Surf Scoters and 20 Barrow’s Goldeneyes.  On October 30 at Lake Catamount, JoAnn Riggle reported Greater Scaup, Surf Scoter, and 8 Barrow’s Goldeneyes.  On November 1 at Lake Catamount, JoAnn Riggle reported Greater Scaup and Surf Scoter.

---On October 31 at Pleasant Valley on CR 18, Tresa Moulton reported Common Redpoll.

---On November 2 at Milner Oxbow Pond, Tresa Moulton reported Sandhill Crane.

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY:

---On October 22 at Miramonte Reservoir, Eric Hynes reported 15 Surf Scoters in three groups of 3, 7, 5, Common Loon, and a fly-over Gunnison Sage-Grouse.  On October 23 at Miramonte Reservoir, Coen Dexter and Brenda Wright reported Surf Scoters and 5+ White-winged Scoters.  On November 1 at Miramonte Reservoir, Coen Dexter and Brenda Wright reported 6 White-winged Scoters, and 6 Common Loon.

SEDGWICK COUNTY:

---On November 5 in town of Ovid, Steve Mlodinow reported Greater White-fronted Goose, 12 Lapland Longspur, Harris’s Sparrow, and 8 Red Crossbills.

---On November 5 at Jumbo Reservoir, Steve Mlodinow reported 7 Greater White-fronted Geese, 50 Cackling Geese, Surf Scoter, 4 Common Loon, 2 Snow Bunting, and Chipping Sparrow.

WASHINGTON COUNTY:

---On November 1 at Prewitt Reservoir, Norm Lewis reported American Golden-Plover, Dunlin, and Chipping Sparrow.

WELD COUNTY:

---On October 28 at Union Reservoir, Bill and Inez Prather reported Red-necked Grebe in NW corner along cattails and Common Loon.  On October 29 at Unon Reservoir, Chris Owens reported Red-necked Grebe.

---On October 31 at CR 33 1 miles south of CR 98 in Nunn, Gary Lefko reported 2 Lapland Longspurs.

---On October 31 Gary Lefko reported 6 Lapland Longspur at very large Prairie Dog Colony .5 m north of CR 90 on CR 29.

---On October 31 Joe Mammoser reported ad Tundra Swan on small pon east of Larimer/Weld County Line 2 ½  - 3 miles north of Hwy 14 east of Fort Collins.

---On November 5 at Beebe Draw, Cynthia Madsen and David Hill reported 150 Sandhill Cranes.

---On November 5 at Lower Latham, Cynthia Madsen and David Hill reported 110 Sandhill Cranes flying over – could be same cranes that were at Beebe Draw.

DFO Field Trip:

The DFO Field Trip for Thursday, November 9 will be to Rueter-Hess Reservoir led by Mary Cay  Burger (mcburger3 AT juno.com; 720-940-8394).  Meet at 0730 at Barr CCC Park, 18964 S Twenty Mile Road, Parker, located on the SW corner of Main St and 20 Mile Rd for birding ther and later at Rueter-hess Reservoir, which is open to the public only with entry permission.  Tim Ryan of Park Waater Dept will be our guide.  Bring a scope if you have one.
