CHEYENNE COUNTY:

---On May 15 at Mitchek Ranch (Private), Glenn Walbek found and photographed a GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER which is visible from CR 9 about ½ mile south of the Kit Carson/Cheyenne county line.  GOLDEN-CROWNED WARBLER would be a new state record if accept.  It is very rare outside of  south Texas.

---On May 13 on High Line canal Trail (39.527,-105.048), Joey Kellner and Glenn Walbek reported Golden-crowned Sparrow.

---On May 14 on Castlewood Canyon Road, Lake Gulch Road to Castlewood Canyon SP, Gloria Nikolai reported Cassin’s Kingbird.

EL PASO COUNTY:

---On May 13 at Chico Basin Ranch, Ken Burton banded another Hermit Thrush and reported Red-headed Woodpecker; Rebecca Laroche reported Ash-throated Flycatcher and Ladder-backed Woodpecker; Christina Leslie reported 2 Eastern Bluebirds.  On May 15 at Chico Basin Ranch, Brandon Percival, David Tonnessen, Jim Merrit, and Ken Burton reported Gray-cheeked Thrush, Wood Thrush, Hermit Thrush, Ladder-backed Woodpecker, red-headed Wooodpecker, Curve-billed Thrasher, Ash-throated Flycatcher,  Black-and-white Warbler, and American Redstart.
