BOULDER COUNTY:
--Severs reported that the GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW continues at the Teller Farm
Parking lot by the windbreak on March 27. On April 10, Waltman reported that the GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW continues at the windbreak by the Teller Farm Parking Lot.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Starace at Walden/Sawhill Ponds in Boulder on April 7.
--An ad m YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was reported by Dowell in lower Skunk Canyon near the fence line between NOAA property and neighborhood along Dartmouth Ave in Boulder on April 8.
--A singing male Rusty Blackbird was reported by Dowell at Walden/Sawhill in Boulder on April 9.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Waltman on the CU East Campus in Boulder on April 10 and by Moore on April 12.
--On April 10, Nunes reported that the male Northern Cardinal was singing in the area beyond the
end of Hawthorn in Boulder.
--A singing White-winged Dove was reported by Pieplow in the NW corner of Gunbarrel Commons Park on April 11.
--A singing White-winged Dove was reported by DeFonso at 4th and Cedar on April 11.
DENVER COUNTY:
--A pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes was reported by Hundertmark at Denver City Park on the DFO field trip on April 4.
DOUGLAS COUNTY:
--A singing Eastern Phoebe was reported by Kibbe at Chafield SP on March 28. It was singing in a tree adjacent to "Phoebe Bridge" over Plum Creek. On April 7, Suddjian reported the singing Eastern Phoebe at Plum Creek on the east side of the picnic area.
EAGLE COUNTY:
--A pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes and a singing Fox Sparrow were reported by Filby on the Frying Pan River near Basalt on April 11.
EL PASO COUNTY:
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Goff below the dam at Big Johnson on Goldfield Rd on April 4.
--Curve-billed Thrashers were reported by Leppek off of Birdsall Road on April 4.
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Farese at Fountain Creek RP near the Nature Center on April 6.
--A Curve-billed Thrasher was reported by Drummond by the banding station at Chico Basin Ranch (fee area) on April 11.
FREMONT COUNTY:
--A GLOSSY IBIS was reported by Moss in Florence on April 12.
GARFIELD COUNTY:
--Filby reported on April 11 that his yard Harris's Sparrow in Carbondale is now singing daily. If you would like to try to see the bird email him at dickfilby AT

HUERFANO COUNTY:
--A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by Farese on a fence east of Walsenburg on CO 10.
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--A Harris's Sparrow was reported by Suddjian at Massey Draw on April 4.
--A Slate-colored Fox Sparrow and GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW were reported by Henwood at Red Rocks Trading Post on April 5. On April 12, Shade reported that the DFO field trip saw GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW and Slate-colored Fox Sparrow at Red Rocks Trading Post.
LARIMER COUNTY:
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Evers on the Loveland Recreation Trail near the dam on the Big Thompson on April 3. On April 11, Coley reported a pair of Eastern Phoebes by the dam on the Loveland Recreation Trail.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Zabel soaring over the Environmental Learning Center and Cottonwood Natural Area of Fort Collins on April 8.
LOGAN COUNTY:
--At Red Lion SWA in a marsh below "Little Jumbo", Kaempfer reported White-throated Sparrow and Field Sparrow on April 12.
PITKIN COUNTY:
--A Fox Sparrow was reported by Filby at Snowmass Village on April 11.
PROWERS COUNTY:
--A m Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Severs at Lamar Community College Woods on April 7.
PARK COUNTY:
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Suddjian outside of Alma on CR 8 on April 8.
--2 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Suddjian at Eleven Mile Reservoir on April 8.
PUEBLO COUNTY:
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Percival on the Arkansas River below Pueblo City Park on April 12.
--At Valco Ponds on April 12, Percival reported Harris's Sparrow and Eastern Phoebe (east of Parking Lot) on April 12.
YUMA COUNTY:
--A YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was reported by Mlodinow at a shelterbelt on CR 51 & US 385 on April 5. The shelterbelt is along CR51 to the east of US 385.
DFO Field Trips:
The DFO field trip for Sunday, April 13 will be to Cherry Creek Wetlands Loop led by Karen von Saltza (cell
303-941-4881). Meet the leader at 0800 at the Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek SP. From either park entrance, follow Lake View Rd. to the Prairie Loop that is located at the south rim of the reservoir. State Parks Pass or day pass required.
This half-day walk passes through most of the important habitats found in the park over a distance of about 3 miles. Trails could be slippery or muddy, so dress accordingly in layers and boots. Bring water and snacks; lunch is optional No registrations required. Co sponsored by Greater Denver Audubon.
