Adding to the thread “Bryan Got it Right” - at Clear Spring Ranch (El Paso Co) this morning the strong overnight wind blew out the big numbers of birds I banded yesterday - but blew in a new contingent of unusual migrants - including
Ovenbird (my 3rd here in 10 years),
Cassin’s Vireo (my 5th here), and several MacGillivray’s, Yellow, and Wilson’s Warblers. The 110 Chipping Sparrows I had yesterday was down to about 30 today! Not big numbers arriving, but some good ones.
Thanks, Bryan, for the heads-up,
Steve Brown
