Two Trumpeter Swans were reported at Standley Lake on Jan 1 and were present there this morning. Maybe they are the same two that were at South Platte Res?

I have begun the year with a run on Northern Goshawks! After posting earlier this morning I saw an adult Gos soaring over the vicinity of Ken Caryl Ave x Depew in Littleton (Jefferson CO), to the east of Pierce. Now I am set for January.

Had to go down to Chatfield today - Sunday 01/03/16.
730 am - Stanley Lake - no Trumpeter Swans.
815 am - South Platte Reservoir - no Trumpeter Swans.
Did the volunteer gig and on way back reversed above.
200 pm - South Platte Reservoir - no Trumpeter Swans.
300 pm - Stanley Lake - no Trumpeter Swans.
Lots of other fantastic viewing opportunities including watching an American Dipper bob up and down and scuba for quite some time.
And watched the lobed feet of two American Coots which cracked us up!
And an odd ball Pied-billed Grebe that just didn't look right.
