Cooley Lake, Arapahoe (mostly)

This evening at Cooley Lake in South Platte Park (Arapahoe) there were hardly any birds at all. But among the exactly three gulls on the water, were one juvenile Sabine's Gull along with two Ring-billed Gulls. Three D-c Cormorants, and that was it for waterbirds. But not complaining...

Re migrants the last two days, the pre-dawn hours over Ken Caryl Valley on 9/11 were devoid of bird sounds, and early morning birding near my home had very little. This morning 9/12 there was snow, and it was pretty quiet except I did detect a Yellow-rumped Warbler, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and Townsend's Warbler down out of the forest, but on the whole it was very quiet.
