Today I had a
Dickcissel pass over me in the grassland park area of Robert A. Easton R.P. that is south of Coal Mine Ave. in JeffCo.
A Sage Thrasher was singing in Ken Caryl Valley; the first I've had there since spring migration, and presumably a "fall" migrant. A Mountain Bluebird family in the same area (5 fledged young) was delightful.
"My" Wilson's Snipe continues near my home. I haven't heard him winnowing since the last full moon waned significantly, but he is out there in his marsh chipping away. I'll be interested to hear if winnowing resumes in the coming nights with the waxing moon.
