On an afternoon that was more bark than bite at Chico Basin Ranch (fee area), 4 of us found a YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER at the banding station (El Paso County). The warbler was foraging among the Russian olives immediately southeast of the outbuilding that RMBO uses for bird banding, and southwest of the port-o-potties. It stayed in close proximity to 2 Mountain Chickadees and at least 1 Black-capped Chickadee for the 30 minutes we watched. The banding station had very few other birds.
