Upland Sandpiper

Sanderling (Boulder)

White-winged Crossbill (Boulder)


BOULDER COUNTY:

--On August 19 a Sanderling continued at Lagerman Reservoir; first reported there on August 14 by Mark Miner-Lee, among other shorebirds.

—On August 14 (5) White-winged Crossbills were reported at Caribou Townsite to Bald Mountain, NW of Nederland, 39.9897321,-105.5953932, by Dave Hallock. This nomadic species is thinly distributed in Colorado.


BROOMFIELD COUNTY:
—On August 18 an Upland Sandpiper was reported at Walnut Creek — Great Western Reservoir to Simms Street by Chipper Phillips behind the subdivision. Upland Sandpipers have also been reported at (1 Bent, 1 Logan, 1 Phillips, 1 Sedgwick).
