Steve Kingswood and I spent a couple hours at Prewitt today. It seems like the height of fall migration for shorebirds (16 species) with an estimated 150 Stilt Sandpipers and 3 Pectoral Sandpipers. The Piping Plover was on the dry sand close to the first area you see in the southwest end north side. It does not have orange on the bill in basic plumage but the very light color and yellow legs make the ID certain. Black Terns everywhere.

The northern shore of Jackson Reservoir has a 100 yards of shoreline exposed with fewer numbers than at Prewitt, mostly Baird's, Least, and 6 Perctoral Sandpipers. No Buff-breasted.
