to CoBirds Rare Bird Alert
A lovely and unforgettable sight at the entrance to the North Marina: over 100 bluebirds, mostly Mountain but about 25% Western, swarming a lone juniper tree and surrounding bushes in the snow! They should be there tomorrow also. Also saw a female Merlin (Prairie) eating a small bird near the entrance to the headquarters. It was great to get out of the house but hardly get out of the car. I notice these birds keep a safe "social distance" from human beings. ☺ No waterfowl of note.

Thank you for posting this Bob! They're still there. I saw only Mountain Bluebirds this morning on the flats between the Marina parking lot and the lake. Didn't catch any Westerns. Also, one male Common Merganser with two fem/imm.
