Spring migrants 5/1 and 5/3, El Paso County

I went to Garden of the Gods on Sunday in hopes of finding a good migration fallout.  As that turned out to be a bust, I headed east to Edison Road.  Nothing exotic, but a small first wave of spring migrants was around: lots of Lark Buntings; a few Swainson's Hawks and Western Kingbirds, and a single Yellow-Rumped Warbler.  The only other birds of note were Burrowing Owls in three prairie dog colonies.

Yesterday my yard in downtown Colorado Springs turned productive, with FOS Western Tanagers, Bullock's Orioles, numerous flocks of Chipping Sparrows passing through, a Blue-Grey Gnatcatcher, and the first Ruby-Crowned Kinglet I've seen in my yard.
