Please join Boulder County Audubon and Gary Lefko to for an outing on the eastern plains for wintering Birds of Prey.
“RAPTOR ALLEY” WITH THE “NUNN GUY”
Saturday, January 11, 2014: Join Gary Lefko, Nunn resident and great eastern plains birder, for a trip down raptor alley. It will be possible to see up to 10 species, including many Ferruginous Hawks, Eagles, Northern Harriers, Kestrels and Prairie Falcons. You will also have a great opportunity to sort through the Red-tailed Hawks many different color morphs. Who knows what owls might be lurking in the wind-breaks? Meet at 8:30 a.m., at “Honey’s Café” (previously the Nunn Café), on the south side of Nunn, on Highway 85. Come earlier if you would like to first enjoy breakfast there.
