Colorado is home to six national wildlife refuges, with more than a dozen others within a day’s drive. Dawn’s presentation will take us on a photographic tour of these very special landscapes with their amazing opportunities for nature photography. You will learn what wildlife to expect in different refuges, the best seasons to visit each and tips for wildlife photography and travel.
Dawn Wilson is a professional, award-winning nature photographer who specializes in the Western States. She has been recognized as one of the top-ten female nature photographers to watch. Ms. Wilson’s work has been published in numerous regional and national publications and is a master naturalist with the City of Fort Collins Natural Areas. She published her first book in 2011, Colorado: Flora, Fauna and Landscapes From the Perspective of Women and recently published an ebook titled, Preparing for the Next Shoot: Ten Tips to Get You to the Right Place at the Right Time.
