Leader, Carl Starace: Breeding season will be winding down, but in
this delightful, tucked away park, we should find colorful Blue
Grosbeaks, Orioles, Vireos, Peewees, Goldfinches and perhaps see the
Barn Owls that usually nest in the cliff. Bring water, a snack and
mosquito repellent.
If coming from Longmont you will see the Walmart coming up on your right. You will begin to see signs for Sandstone. Pass by Walmart and Ballfields/Skateboard park and turn right at the very last sign for Sandstone. It says Historic Visitor Learning Center. You will quickly pass by that first right turn and make the very next right turn into lot. There's a building with bathrooms to the left. If you are coming from the highway towards Longmont, Watch for the Sandstone sign on right and make a left . The entrance road is immediately after the GM Dealership on left. Look for me standing by a light blue Hundai Hatchback. See you there, Carl
