Rabbit Mountain open space, east of Lyons, has a different assemblage of birds than other sites in the County.  This morning, before we'd left the parking lot, we had Blue Grosbeak, Sage Thrasher, and heard a Canyon Wren up on the cliffs.  We took the trail up the hill, then walked back down on the closed gravel road.  The most common bird was Sage Thrasher (Boulder Bird Club had 17 on their trip two days ago).  We also found Brewer's Sparrows along the road, two Gnatcatchers, another Blue Grosbeak, and a Hairy Woodpecker.
