I haven't been birding much lately for a number of reasons, but was pleasantly surprised on my way back from Denver by a female Dusky Grouse flying east to west across Rte. 36 just north of the Table Mesa overpass. I reversed direction at the Baseline exit and found the grouse between the Table Mesa exit ramp and the parking lot behind the High Mar US Post Office on Moorhead Ave.
