Apologies for confusion caused by previous email regarding Fox Sparrow.  

It is Slate-colored.  Seen by several birders today around noon at Bear Creek Lake Park--Boat Launch Area.

Actually this is intergrade Slate-colored x Red.  The red on the upperparts is derived from Red Fox Sparrow and the black streaks on the under parts are derived from slate colored fox sparrow. The two sub species interbreed in British Columbia. Intergrades are fairly common among the Fox Sparrows that occur in winter in Colorado.  Nice job documenting this rare bird.
