Hi Everyone,

I'm at Hattie Lake now (12:50pm), and haven't run into the eiders yet. I'm standing at the spit in the middle looking north to the edge of the ice and the north shore.Temps are in the 30s and the wind has calmed down, so birding isn't too uncomfortable. Tomorrow is supposed to be cold and snowy.

Hi Everyone,

I just now (3pm) saw the eiders from the fishing access at the east end of the lake, in with goldeneyes. A local named Brad was a big help.
