Cobirders,
This evening there were 12-14 Wilson's Phalaropes at Sombrero Marsh feeding actively along with a single White-faced Ibis. A lone male Great-tailed Grackle was singing in earnest and Yellow-headed Blackbirds have arrived.
I visited Cottonwood Marsh, which is evaporating at a worrying pace, and found a Snowy Egret and a single Whimbrel. Unfortunately the Whimbrel did not stay, flying noisily north. Maybe it will spend the evening at Lagerman or MacIntosh?
That's about it. With luck the high pressure will bring new birds in rather than flushing out the few we have around here...
