Cobirders,

I too went to Washington county yesterday. Here are the highlights;

Last Chance (1:30-2:30)
Philadelphia Vireo
White-throated Sparrow
Field Sparrow - had great comparison looks with a juv and adult White-crowned Sparrow

WCR 12 x JJ Playas (2:50-3:45)
American Golden Plover - 2
Black-bellied Plover - 1
10 additional shorebird species (in this Playa and the next two Playas within a mile east)
American Pipits - 2

NN between WCR 12 & SR 36 (4:00-4:45)
Sprague's Pipit - heard only when Northern Harrier flew by and flushed all the birds
American Pipits - 3
McCown's Longspur - 10
Chestnut-collared Longspur - 1
Horned Larks - 500
3 Kettles of migrating Swainson's Hawks - 10, 8, 24

Happy birding,

Sue Riffe
