This singing male (Audubon's) was in full mating colors and sang continuously for at least an hour at the top of the Mill Creek Trail in Lory State Park.  Can anyone tell me if this is normal for a yellow-rumped to be here (about 6500 ft) at this time and looking for a mate?

Other birds seen were young western tanagers and parents, young pygmy nuthatches, young yellow breasted chats and parents, RC kinglets, Hairy woodpecker, lots of chipping sparrows, 2 Steller's jays, and a northern Goshawk.
