Hi all

Just heard about this exciting benefit, military veterans-like myself, now enjoy free lifetime access to Colorado's National Parks!

Thanks, Gary Lefko, Nunn

As I understand the guidelines you will need to apply for a Veteran ID Card or some other form of id the shows your status to show at the park.

It is a quick process to apply for the VIC, I did it on my phone the other night.

The free entrance also applies to Gold Star families.

I applied for the VIC the other day pretty easily as well. I have the veteran notation on the CO drivers license, but wanted the VIC just to be safe!

Just found this ... four methods of ID:
  • Department of Defense Identification Card (CAC Card)

  • Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)

  • Veteran ID Card

  • Veterans designation on a state-issued U.S. driver’s license or identification card

I was wondering if it was an option on the CO license. Thanks.

My subject said "CO National Parks"--it is for all National Parks, Refuge, Monuments, etc. properties.
