Birders,
I spent the afternoon running around Morgan County checking out the playas that Bill talked about.  My biggest surprise was 4 species of grebe.  The Western was in a shallow fluddle on the north side of MCR II between MCR 23 and 26.  The basic plumage Horned. alternate plumage Eared (2) and some of the Pied-billed were on the west side of Hwy 71 at MCR JJ. There were also Pied-billed on MCR 23 at MCR HH.  The Sora was calling from the weeds on the south side of the water on MCR 23.
Here is a list of the highlights:

Pied-billed Grebe
Horned Grebe
Eared Grebe
Western Grebe
WF Ibis
Pintail
BW & Cin Teal
Peregrine Falcon (juv.) Both MCR 23 & 26.  I think it was the same bird.
Sora
Avocet
Semipalmated Plover
Killdeer
LB Dowitcher
Stilt Sandpiper
Gr Yellowlegs
L Yellowlegs
Western Sand
Semi Sand
Wilson's Phalarope
RN Phalarope
Bank Swallow
Sage Thrasher
Cassin's Sp (1)
Chipping Sp
Vesper Sp
Savannah Sp (fresh plumage)
Grasshopper SP
McCown's Longspur (1)
Blue Grosbeak (1)
Eastern Meadowlark (1) (had only 2 brown tail feathers.  Rest were white)
