Yellow-crowned Night-Heron in Canon City out all day

The Yellow-crowned Night-Heron at Sells Lake was out and readily visible from from this morning to dark tonight. I stopped by several times today and it was perched in easily viewed location from the far northeast part of the pond. I stayed late to see if would fly off or what but I lost site of it at 8:10 in the downed trees about 30 feet from the fence.
The gate to private property adjacent to the lake is sometimes open but not indicating permission to enter so please do not trespass to get a better view.
