I fell asleep in early evening last night so didn't post that the TRICOLORED HERON was seen by at least 3 birders yesterday morning (but it evaded me after I spoke with a couple of them). So with John Drummond's post it was present both morning and mid-afternoon yesterday.
I did not go out today until a little after 7 pm tonight but could not find the TRICOLORED HERON (though a distant Black-crowned Night-Heron that was facing away and whose plumage looked very blue looked like the heron). I also didn't see the LEAST BITTERN. There were a late pair of Common Mergansers and at least one dark ibis.
