Yesterday while driving in a canyon area in Fremont County I spotted 4 large raptors and subsequently identified 2 as adult Golden Eagles and 1 as a juvenile Golden Eagle. I did not find a place to pull over quick enough to id the 4th large raptor. While I watched these birds for more than a half hour I observed an adult and a juvenile perch on an escarpment for a period of time very near other which seems to confirm the juvenile is the offspring of the adults.
I hoped to refind them today and identify the forth raptor--I did refind 2 Golden Eagles but they were distant. I got a series of photos of them in flight and perched that I have uploaded to my
Birds and Nature blog.
