I helped birders see the Prairie and Chestnut-sided Warbler this
weekend in Pueblo. I asked people not to post where exactly they are
right now, as I don't want these birds to be pushed out of the
smallish areas they are in, before the Christmas Bird Count next
weekend. I'm hoping people won't bother them this week and on
Saturday, so the people who are required to count birds on count day,
can find them, where they have been seen -- if they move out of the
areas they have been, they might be missed on count day (we don't have
a lot of people on this CBC, so we all have big areas, and can't spend
a lot of time looking for them on count day, they have to appear when
they have been appearing, so we can cover the rest of our areas
properly). I think I was with most people, when they were seeing the
Prairie Warbler, and everyone didn't go tramping the area, where it
likes to feed, so I'm happy about that.
Thanks,
