Chris Knight and I saw an early spring migrant male Cinnamon Teal at the South Shore Marina at Pueblo Reservoir, Pueblo County mid-day today.  It was in the cove south of the South Marina with mostly Green-winged Teal.  I don't remember seeing one this early in the year in Pueblo County before.  I know they are regular starting in early February.  Earlier this morning, saw an adult Short-billed Gull on the Arkansas River, just west of the footbridge, west of Runyon Lake in Pueblo County, seen with Chris Knight and Al Garner.  There seems to be maybe 3 or 4 Short-billed Gulls around here this winter, at least 2 adults and younger one around Pueblo Reservoir as well.

The Bohemian Waxwing invasion hasn't really happened in Pueblo County, as far as I know.  Early in January, Chris Knight saw a little flock of 12 west of the Pueblo Nature Center, since then just lots of Cedar Waxwings in that area.  Luckily, last Sunday, I got up to El Paso County, and Kara Carragher and I saw two in Pleasant Valley and then a flock of 98 in a park in Manitou Springs.  Looks like more Arctic air coming soon, so maybe Pueblo will get going with the Bohemian Waxwing invasion too.

Good birding,
