The original post is shared on FB. Will this add another bird to the state tally if confirmed?

This will be the 3rd CO record, if accepted by the Colorado Birds record committee.
There was 4th one at a fish hatchery north of Salida, but apparently it was not documented well enough to be accepted.

The Colorado Birds Records Committee has accepted three records so
far, for Crested Caracara in Colorado according to the CBRC Website.

1. Trinidad, Las Animas County on 29 Sep 1997
2. Chalk Cliffs Fish Hatchery, Chaffee County on 6-7 Oct 2010
3. Bent County on 7-9 July 2011

So, if today's bird in Weld County is documented and accepted by the
Colorado Birds Records Committee, it will be the 4th State Record.
