Pueblo update 12/21 (all the scoters)

The Surf Scoter, likely the one seen on the Pueblo Reservoir CBC, was on Valco Pond #4 today, as well as the male Eurasian Wigeon (both these rarities were found by Chris Knight on the Pueblo Reservoir CBC on Saturday morning).  Diane Roberts photographed a female type Black Scoter on the Pueblo West Gravel Pit this morning, unforentely, it didn't seem to stick around there, as many people tried for it later and it wasn't there.  This is only 2nd Pueblo Reservoir CBC count week record (we've never had one on count day), and then late this afternoon Chris Knight and I scoped from Sailboard launching area at Pueblo Reservoir, and with a flock of Common Goldeneye, we found a White-winged Scoter, which wasn't around on count day.  So, for the first time, the Pueblo Reservoir CBC had all three scoters on either count day or count week (three days before and after count day, is count week).  The final results for Pueblo Reservoir CBC is 130 species on count day (two below our record of 132), and three count week species, Pygmy Nuthatch, Black and White-winged Scoters (I've been watching ebird reports to see if anyone saw anything else, that we didn't find on count day, and I don't think anything has been seen).  The only known rare warbler in Pueblo this winter, is a Chestnut-sided Warbler that Evan Carlson found on Saturday along the Historic Riverwalk in downtown Pueblo, seen by many the last few days.  This location is in between the two Christmas Bird Count circles, closer to the Pueblo CBC circle (which ended with 104 species for count day, and American Pipit for count week (Scaled Quail that I thought was missed, were found by a feeder watcher).
