Cobirders,
Since
the RBA answering machine expired in late June, I have been on a few field
trips with folks who mentioned that they didn’t have email addresses and didn’t
know anything about navigating the Internet to get one and subscribe to the
Google Group to post sitings. Teaching computer skills is something I
have a lot of experience with but it’s taken me a while to find a computer lab
that would allow me to hold a class at no charge. I finally found one so
was hoping you all (who clearly don’t need a class) would help me get the word
out to birders who could benefit from a basic-level class.
Here are the details:
Free Basic Computer/Internet Class for Birders
Saturday, September 27, from 2-4pm
Bemis
Library Computer Lab (http://www.littletongov.org/index.aspx?page=128)
My main goal is for everyone to leave with an email account and signed up for the Cobirds Google Group. I’ll take the group wherever they want to go computer/software/website-wise beyond that as time allows.
If you find anyone who would like to attend, they can call me at 720-870-7957 to let me know they're coming and leave a contact number in case I would have to cancel.
Thanks,
Amy Cervene
