This does not compare to the CFO convention, but I have had some of the most colorful birds the past 2 weeks that I can remember for my yard. Even the winds of yesterday and today did not turn them all away.
Male and Female Bullocks Oriole at the feeders and in the peonie bush continuously.
Black-headed Grosbeak Male in the dandilion patch, eating seeds.
7 colorful male Goldfinches flashing their colors at the feeders Females too continuously.
The flock of Pine Siskins at the feeders and water with their sqeeky call and acrobatic feeding habits.
Lazuli Bunting. male and female, here for a week. Just spending time near the window where I can admire them.
Black and White Warbler comes in secretly to the water along with the McGillivray's Warbler.
Last weeks' distant memory of the Black-throated Gray Warbler and the Chat.
Swainson's Thrush and Catbirds skulk around in the bushes.
Gone but not forgotten are the Yellow, Yellow-rumped, Orange-crowned and Blue-grey Gnatchatchers.
The Red-breasted Nuthatch showed up today again along with a Plumbeous Vireo.
Black-capped Chickadee still showing at the water and feeding very quietly.
Find it hard to leave my window to attend to my daily life.
