Special thanks are owed to Bob Santangalo who pointed out the Black Brant feeding (with several hundred white-cheeked geese) on the lawn at Ketring Park to us this afternoon.
The brant is relatively tame but appeared ready to fly when several of the white cheeked geese departed.

The Brant was seen in Gallup Park earlier this morning, but along with its cohorts was spooked by a dog walker, and currently is on the west side of the lake at Ketring Park. Cheryl Teuton Aurora
