When talking about the Mississippi kites, I realized that I could add more to the post. I friend of mine lives 3 blocks from this site and, in addition to the kites that are here, he has kites nesting across the street from his house.
In addition, at the Routt and Garfield intersection , the kites can often be seen bathing in the water that collects at the street corner.
