Always fun to get a "big" bird or two mixed in with our regulars!  A Flicker (4th of season) and two Brown Thrashers (1st of season) spiced up our morning. Oh yes, and a European Starling, that takes the prize for the noisiest bird of the season.

A good day overall, with 33 birds banded:

Red-shafted Flicker 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 5
Hermit Thrush 1
Brown Thrasher 2
European Starling 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 3
Wilson's Warbler 2
Spotted Towhee 1
Chipping Sparrow 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 3
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 9
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 2
Dark-eyed Junco, Pink-sided 2

Weather permitting, we are banding Tuesday through Sunday mornings (closed Mondays).  There is a public session most weekday mornings from 7:30-8:30, and three time slots on weekends, at 8, 9, and 10 a.m. (although not this weekend, as we are doing a special training program).  There is a $7 fee and registration is required – click here to register!

Let me know if you have any questions,
