Many of us are now first alerted to a rare bird through eBird reports. But quite often the location given is so vague as to be almost useless. For example "Wheat Ridge Greenbelt" "Bear Creek Lake Park" are not very helpful if we want to chase the bird. If we know you or you are listed in the DFO membership list we can call you but often neither is the case, and even if we do have your phone number, it is inconvenient for both parties.  My unfavorite comment is "continuing!" So let's try to remember that some are using your eBird report to find the bird themselves!

By the way the reporting of the Yellow Grosbeak in Huerfano County as shepherded by Brandon Percival was ideal as to location information and coordination with the property owner as to appropriate visitation times. Also that the bird was NOT seen as of June 2. Thank you Brandon and Gibson!
